When I sit down to begin my practice, I always make sure my space is filled with aesthetic and functional pieces. These porcelain pen rests have been beautifully crafted for your nib holder. What was once a small ball of porcelain has been shaped, fired, sanded and glazed to bring out the natural beauty of these simple but necessary tool.
All pen rests are individual as they are hand made. Made in my home in Melbourne.

This calligraphy kit comes with a Moblique penholder, Nikko G & Blanzy 2552 nib, 15 mls each of Sumi & Walnut ink, and the piece de résistance a bespoke porcelain pen holder. Each kit comes beautifully gift wrapped and ready to give to yourself or to someone who is ready to start their creative journey.
The Moblique is a great pen holder for beginners. It’s so versatile as it can be changed from an oblique to a straight pen holder by removing the brass flange. The oblique function of the pen holder is for right handed peolple only. Left handed people can use it as a straight holder.
As the penholder is a handmade product from the house of le petit moineau, each one will be original in its form. Please note that it is made from porcelain and should be treated with care.
This kit has been created for both modern and traditional types of calligraphy.
