My greatest joy comes from teaching.  I am a life long learner and love sharing my knowledge with others.  As a practicing artist and art teacher my empathic nature allows me to be a positive and supportive teacher who fosters a stimulating learning environment.  Providing students with a safe space to recognise and understand emotional expression illuminates their authentic self and guides their learning journey.  In each workshop students are guided through the basic principles of calligraphy and an understanding of their new tools of a pen holder, nib and ink.

Calligraphy expresses our unique creativeness through written words and strengthens our connection to each other.  My experience curating calligraphy classes has led me to explore calligraphy as a expression of self.  Our handwriting is unique to each of us and I believe that it can make people feel connected through written words and each other.  Bringing people together through a workshop to feel part of a community and build a sense of belonging is my honour.  To watch students take their first hesitant stokes to writing full sentences and quotes is rewarding.  In my workshops participants explore and nurture their own handwriting.  This is what I believe to be the essence of calligraphy and the keeper of the soul.
